The Aisyiyah Center (TAC)

The Aisyiyah Center (TAC) is one of the leading study centers at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA). Established as a hub for research, dialogue, and innovation, TAC focuses on advancing knowledge related to ‘Aisyiyah studies, progressive Islam, women’s leadership, and social transformation.

Rooted in the intellectual and social legacy of ‘Aisyiyah, TAC integrates academic research with real-world engagement. It serves as a bridge between scholarship and community practice—connecting academics, researchers, students, policymakers, and civil society actors at national and international levels.

TAC develops research programs, international conferences, publications, and collaborative networks that explore issues such as gender justice, education, health, digital transformation, ecological ethics, and sustainable development. Through initiatives like ICAS (International Conference on ‘Aisyiyah Studies), national and international research grants, and scholarly publications, TAC aims to position UNISA Yogyakarta as a global reference point for Aisyiyah Studies and progressive Muslim women’s thought.

More than just a research unit, The Aisyiyah Center is a dynamic intellectual space committed to producing transformative knowledge and strengthening women’s leadership for a just and sustainable civilization.
